A Simple Basic Way to Introduce BTS V (Kim Taehyung) to the new fans

I made this blog to introduce my bias in the Korean group Bangtan Sonyeondan also known as BTS.


BTS is composed of 7 members namely Kim Seokjin (Jin), Min Yoongi (Suga), Jung Heoseok (Jhope or Hobie), Kim Namjoon (RM; also the leader of the group), Park Jimin (JM), Kim Taehyung (V), Jeon Jungkook (JK).

And my main purpose here is to not confuse anyone anymore who is that guy…..

I’ve been scrolling to Twitter these past days and I’m honestly concern about the question who is that guy from BTS….

So to lessen all the confusion; here is a quick and basic to know who is that guy….





Korean Name: Kim Taehyung
Stage name: V
Nickname: Taebear, Taehyungie, tae-tae
Birthday: December 30, 1995
Zodiac sign: Capricorn, year of the Pig
Korean age: 27 years old
International age: 26 years old

Most fans prefer each member to be called in their stage name but as Kim Taehyung biased most who biased him prefer to call him Taehyung, Tae-tae, or Tae. A lot of other nicknames like taehyungie, cuddler bear, winter bear, taebear, and a lot more, I can't remember.

Kim Taehyung is a singer, songwriter, actor, music producer rolled into one.

Maybe you have been stunned by his visuals but wait no more to fall further in a deep hole when you get to know his personality and brace yourself when you get to listen to his sultry, deep, soothing, dreamy-like baritone voice as Irish Stevenson once said “It’s soulful, people feel something when you sing, Keep him” (American Hustle Life, 2014)

Yes, Kim Taehyung or BTS V is definitely a keeper

His sultry voice well presented if you listen to his intro song in BTS (Love Yourself, TEAR album era) called Singularity.




Kim Taehyung artistry for music is clearly shown is his self-directed MV of Winter Bear, his self written song with the help of his leader and member of the BTS (Kim Namjoon is also known as RM).

Map of Seoul 7 is the new album of BTS and every member of Bangtan Sonyeondan has their own song and Kim Taehyung (V) sings to his Inner Child; talking to himself when he still a child and been through some rough times and struggles. 

 Kim Taehyung say to himself he is going to be okay because the man he is today is okay as he values his journey to who is now as a successful artist, composer, actor, producer, and singer. Inner Child has a deep meaning and a must listen to.

Kim Taehyung latest song release, he wishes he can compose a self-written song for a drama. Luckily, his actor friend Park Seojoon, the lead actor of the Korean drama "Itaewon Class" asks his friend Kim Taehyung to write a song, especially for the drama. Kim Taehyung happily accepts the offer and "Sweet Night" is born. 


Sweet Night for the title itself is a sweet song, melancholy, and full of emotions. The lyrics speak for itself that no matter how hard and rough days you had been through may you find solace in the night and sleep sweetly. 



Sweet Night is not only self-written and composed by Kim Taehyung but also sang by him and it is indeed a masterpiece for it break many records. Currently, it holds the records of the most number one in Itunes World Wide Sales.

Sweet Night holds the records of the number one in 88 countries. Kim Taehyung is the youngest Korean singer and Asian artist that holds such records.

Kim Taehyung is known for listening to wide genres in music and giving high respect for other artists as he is not shy to jam to their music from known artists to underrated singers for Kim Taehyung it doesn’t matter, he will feel the vibe.

Kim Taehyung definitely proves his an all-rounder as an artist, he shows great passion and interest in photography, and paintings. For his love for photography and art at the same time, he gave himself a name Vante.


As for so many reasons to make you stan him, his visuals may be the reason you are attracted to him but his beautiful heart is also to look for, his surprising brilliant mind and ideas also make you wonder that is possible to have that kind of human being a face and a heart, definitely; a total package.



Kim Taehyung coined the phrase “I Purple You” equivalent to saying “I love you” to one another. It is an endearment and expression of trust and love.

Kim Taehyung has a dog, he named "Yeontan". Taehyung adopts Yeontan and before he does; Taehyung talks to an animal trainer what are the things he needs to know as a responsible pet owner.
