[MV] V (BTS) - Sweet Night [이태원 클라쓰 OST Part.12(ITAEWON CLASS OST Part.12)]

Sweet Night a Sweet Success

Sweet Night is an OST song self-written by Kim Taehyung also known as BTS V for Korean Drama “Itaewon Class”, the lead actor happens to be “Park Seojoon” one of the famous actors in South Korea and also a member of the “wooga squad” along with actors Park Hyungsik, Choi Woo Sik, the singer “Peakboy” and the youngest member or “maknae” of the wooga squad- the idol BTS V known for his real name Kim Taehyung. The wooga squad is their proclaimed friendship group name as they happened to be “friends” who came from different fields such as acting and being an idol and a singer.

The director of the drama “Itaewon Class” expressed if it is possible for Kim Taehyung (BTS V) to sing an OST for the drama and Park Seojoon- Kim Taehyung’s brother and a friend told the director he will ask Taehyung and the rest is history.

Kim Taehyung made an OST song for the drama “Itaewon Class” and it is a dream come true for him for he really wishes to be a part of the drama he is endeared so much. Itaewon Class is a Korean drama that comes from a webtoon series with the same title. Kim  Taehyung expressed that he had read it in webtoon and excited to watch it as it being adapted into tv drama and the lead role is played by his friend “Park Seojoon”.

Kim Taehyung is very vocal in supporting the drama when it releases and even joked in their fan community mobile app called Weverse if it is possible for him to have a cameo or sing an OST.

I don’t know about the cameo if it happened or not but one thing for sure an OST is made and Sweet Night came to life;

Sweet Night as the lyrics do speak volume; Kim Taehyung as a lyricist shows his skills in writing beautiful lyrics, he uses a lot of symbolism and metaphors which every writer know when it is better to express yourself using symbols and idioms than to directly point out what you wanted to portray.

Sweet Night sure transcends the lyrics meaning into the rhythm that speaks to you. Kim Taehyung not only self-written “Sweet Night” but also sang the song in which he successfully delivered the emotions of the song that he wanted to convey.

“Techniques and singing skills can be learned but emotions that can pass through you and connect to the audience is very rare” I heard comments in one of the singing contests that I’ve watched and it is very true. Emotions are something that is trapped in a song, if the singer can’t make the emotions flow and felt by the audience there is something lacking. Luckily, Kim Taehyung is able to transcend the emotions in his self-written song to his listeners.

Sweet Night is a record-breaker. For so many reasons that the song is loved and appreciated by many- even by non-BTS fans mostly drama enthusiasts who watched and loved “Itaewon Class”. The history that Sweet Night made as it hailed Kim Taehyung as the youngest and first Soloist ever to hold the most number one in iTunes records over 108 countries as of today. The latest addition to the countries that hold the record is Germany which is so hard to break through and one of the 5 biggest markets in the music industry.

Kim Taehyung as a seven-year idol and a member of BTS, an actor who debuted his acting career way back 2016 in the Korean drama “Hwarang” where he met Park Seojoon, his endeared brother and hyung. Throughout the years, Kim Taehyung slowly built a solid fanbase.

Kim Taehyung fanbases all over the World concentrate in fundraising, promoting Kim Taehyung as a member of BTS as BTS V, a singer, composer, actor, producer, and most of all “a happiness preacher”.

Kim Taehyung fanbases support his arts and his music and achieving milestones for him as an artist and also supported his group BTS as they release group albums.

Kim Taehyung fanbases proved they are prepared and equipped in all of the struggles way ahead of them as each fans contributed to made record-breaking achievements for Kim Taehyung’s “Sweet Night”.
